Special Programme for World Civil Aviation Day from Akçadağ Vocational School Civil Air Transport Management Students

Akçadağ Vocational School Civil Air Transport Management programme 2nd year students showed an impressive performance in the debate event held on the occasion of 7 December World Civil Aviation Day. The event allowed the students of the Civil Air Transport Management programme to develop their analytical thinking and persuasion skills.

The debate was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ünal, Head of the Department of Transport Services. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Kayhan and Lecturer Lale Yolcusoy participated in the event.

While students Muhammet Türkboy Bayat, Mustafa Balalan and Rabia Çiçek in Selçuk Kayhan's team demonstrated their command of the subject and their persuasive presentations; Süleyman Miraç Oktay, Müzeyyen Naz Koyunlu and Yusuf Sefa Yaşa in Lale Yolcusoy's team put the other team in a difficult situation with strong arguments. Both teams made in-depth analyses on the topic given to them, showing that they had undergone a careful preparation process and presented their views effectively. At the end of the debate, the winning team was determined by the votes of the students. The winning team received a trophy and a book as a prize.

The debate was an important experience that reinforced students' communication, analysis and persuasion skills. The programme students who participated in the event also watched a pleasant and instructive debate. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ünal stated that such events are of great importance for students to take firm steps forward in their professional lives.
